THE EARTH MOVEMENTS

The Earth moves in two different ways:

ROTATION

It's the movement of the Earth on its axis and it takes one day (24 hours)

Rotation causes day and night.

REVOLUTION

It's the movement of the Earth around the Sun. it takes one year (365 days).

Revolution causes the 4 seasons.

THE SOLAR SYSTEM

There are 8 planets in the Solar System:

1. Mercury. The smallest planet. Closest planet to the Sun.
2. Venus. The hotest and brightest planet.
3. The Earth. The planet where we live.
4. Mars. The red planet.
5. Jupiter. The biggest planet.
6. Saturn. It has got rings.
7. Uranus. It has got 27 moons.
8. Neptune. The farthest to the Sun, and so the coldest.
